Ubud, Bali, Indonesia
The town of Ubud in the highlands of Bali in Indonesia is known as a center for traditional crafts and dance. The rainforest and rice terraces surrounding Ubud, as well as Hindu temples and shrines, are among Bali’s most important symbols. Ancient sacred sites include the Tirta Empul temple complex, the intricately carved Goa Gajah (elephant cave), and the rock-hewn shrines of Gunung Kawi.
